A Charcuterie Board for your dog…

It was actually Piña Pal Mal that first showed me this trend on Instagram and I’ve never considered making one until now.

I’ve seen pet owners use dog treats, eggs, bananas, and even raw meat. I love the idea that Foxy would appreciate her treats and goodies in an eye-catching way, but let’s be real she would destroy this in a matter of seconds. Ha! As much as she (and I) would LOVE to see her go to town on this board, I could never! She has such a sensitive tummy, it’s just not a risk I’m willing to take! I know I’ll be the one who pays in the end.

I still think it’s a super clever idea especially if you’re having some furry friends and their owners over for a playdate. It’s a hospitable gesture to offer owners treats for their pups as you would offer them a beverage or snack while at your house. Just be sure to make it clear which board is for the pups and which is for the humans 🤣. Plus, it’ll keep the dogs from getting too excited if you can distract them with a treat, even for just a second.

I waited for Hunter to take Foxy on a walk to put this one together. I didn’t want to torture her with all the smells! The key to a good board is making sure EVERYTHING you put on it is good for them. Be sure to triple or even quadruple check what you lay out against this list to be sure you’re providing your pup with the best stuff.
