The Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie By Chef Ryan Scott

The Cookie Monster is here…

and his name is Chef Ryan Scott. Our friend Ryan came over in San Francisco and not only does he show us how to bake a classic chocolate chip cookie, but he brought us this cool oven. We’re channeling our inner monster, which wasn’t hard because these cookies are so delicious I promise you won’t put them down, they are that good!

Ingredients:

2 sticks soft butter
1 3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 cup of dark bittersweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup of milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup of milk chocolate discs

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, cream together soft butter and brown sugar. Once smooth, add eggs (one at a time), mix again. Add vanilla extract, mix. Add flour, baking powder, salt and mix- but just until combined. Add all 3 cups of chocolate chip, mix till combined.

Option to freeze cookie dough for one hour. If so, bake at 325 degrees for 20-22 mins on non stick cookie sheet. Bake unfrozen cookie dough for 12-14 minutes at 325 degrees.
