Plan. Plant. Educate. Celebrate.

What's the problem?

Dallas is ranked 8th for the worst air quality in the nation by EPA’s National Ambient Air Quality Standards. This air quality problem affects over 89,000 children in Dallas. With one of the most challenging urban climates in the United States, school campuses suffer from extremely hot days and have the least shade in North Texas.

How does the texas tree foundation fix it?

The Texas Trees Foundation’s Cool School Program is centered around the health and well-being of students and deals with the effects of urban heat by improving the need for tree canopies. Outdoor time and exposure to more trees and nature provide many academic and health benefits for children such as better focus inside the classroom. The Cool Schools Program, with the support of teachers, creates hands-on outdoor environmental activities to align with the school’s curriculum, so no child is left inside!

Why is it important to Letsgetlexi?

Hunter has a passion for trees and taking care of our environment. We have both always loved spending time with nature wherever we travel and the opportunity to participate in a program that involves planting trees and benefits the children in the Dallas area was one we couldn’t pass up.

We need to provide our children with the best learning environment so some day they can take over the world and treat it with as much love and care as we did. We were only given one Earth and we have to protect it, nourish it, and give back to it as much as she gives to us.
